Day of Prayer 2023
May 4 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm MDT
Good afternoon! Come join us this afternoon at the church to participate in the National Day of Prayer! Come join us as we pray for our community, our body, our faith, our state, and our nation!
The National Day of Prayer is a day set aside by the United States Congress for all people of faith to come together in prayer. It is held on the first Thursday of May each year. The president is required by law to sign a proclamation each year, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.
The National Day of Prayer was first established in 1952 by a joint resolution of Congress. The resolution was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The purpose of the National Day of Prayer is to “turn to God in prayer and meditation” and to “renew our national commitment to prayer.”
The National Day of Prayer is a day for people of faith to come together in prayer. It is a day to pray for our nation, our leaders, and our families. It is a day to pray for peace, prosperity, and justice.
The National Day of Prayer is a reminder that we are all connected and blessed by our faith in God. It is a day to come together as a nation and community and to pray for the things that we hold dear.
